I have been using Clarisonic's acne system for a few months now. For the first 2 weeks I used it, my skin started breaking out like crazy and peeling all over the place. HOWEVER. After that initial 2 weeks, it cleared up almost instantly and looks and feels great! I've had such amazingly clear skin. I almost gave up at first but I am head over heels in love with this product and would never consider going a day without it! I have actually been able to get off my antibiotics (bactrim ds) which I've been taking for over 6 years. I was never able to back off the antibiotics without my skin going nuts, and I honestly haven't even experienced a single flare-up since I stopped using it. I would have happily paid 5x the price of the Clarisonic for these results. I'm soo happy!

I have been on everything, including Accutane -- TWICE!! I have never ever done a review like this, but this is simply the best skincare product I have ever tried, and there's no other company that will receive my business for skincare products in the future. I truly found this product THAT helpful. I purchased the Acne Clarifying Collection because I figured if I was spending the money on a Mia 2, I'd spend a little bit more. Honestly, even after the first try, there was noticeable improvement!!! Softer, Clearer, EVERYTHING! Nothing had worked, for years and years, and I was skeptical even after reading everyone's reviews that said exactly what I have just said. But trust me -- get it!! You will not once regret it.

WORKS BETTER THAN ACUTANE WITHOUT SIDE-EFFECTS

I've had problems with acne for 15 years. I've seen a dermatologist and been on acutane twice (which only cleared my skin for 1 year). A friend told me about Clarisonic and I was a little nervous to try. Finally, when I got pregnant, my skin started to get bad again, so I knew I needed to try something. Bought Clarisonic Acne system and have fallen in love with this product. IT WORKS, my skin has never felt or looked so good!!! Thank you Clarisonic, finally I feel beautiful and love my skin!

I never ever leave reviews...but WOW! The Mia 2 deserves a little praise! However, I wish the acne system with the Mia 2 that I bought had more color options to choose than white: ( That is my only complaint, but I still agree that this product is great. It does wonders along with the acne cleanser and travel case.

I'm on my second week using the acne kit and my skin got even worse compared to when I didn't use clarisonic. At the moment I have like seven big, painful pimples and a lot of white heads grew in the two weeks that I've been using it. I should've taken pictures so you guys can see what I mean.

You should keep using it, when trying new skin products your acne may get worse before it gets better. It can be caused from sensitive skin adjusting to a new product or sometimes new skin products will pull all the impurities out that were going to show up eventually and the results show later.

just to let you know... this is normal for some people. I didnt not go through it but for some skin types this "purge" happens. Things below the skins surface rise so to speak. Keep using it. Don't let this get you down. Things will clear up as soon as the "purge" happens!

As an esthetician I hear this a lot from people. Your skin is getting rid of all the bad stuff from underneath. Wait it out for at least 30 days and you will see a change. Most products take 3 months to reach their peak though. Keep it up

You also have to be sure to wash the brush with antibacterial soap after each use. It really makes a difference.

Usually what will happen anytime you start a good cleansing, purifying and/or detox of your skin you will break out. I know from experience and I know it stinks, but it's because it's unclogging your blocked pores and getting all the nasty out. Stick with it if you can religiously and you will be happy! I know it's hard to do when all you want is for the stupid pimples to just go away!!!

I think that's how it normally works, my skin turned in to a mess but after 2 weeks my skin looks so fly. Holla clear sonic.. So worth it!

Was not what I expected!

I had read many great reviews about this and was extremely excited to find out I may be able to stop my breakouts. The first day I used it, my skin felt very clean and soft, I did not see any diminishing in breakouts, but I did not expect to. I read the reviews and many mentioned that it would take about 2 weeks or so to begin seeing changes, so I waited and guess what? Nothing. I kept washing my face with the kit and used it for up to a month and still no change in my skin! In all, I have been using it for about 2 months and my skin looks even more worse than before I began using it, not that the clarisonic caused it. Perhaps it is because I am not using it correctly or something, but neither my sister or I are happy with this product. If you have any comments feel free to do so. Btw, I have been struggling with acne for about 2-3 years and my sister has adult acne. We have both tried MANY inexpensive and expensive products (Clarisonic the most expensive) and nothing has worked. Help!

When using the product I had to use a extractor to clear out the pores and it helped. When I didn't use the extractor to dismiss the breakouts it would get worse. The product I recommend for adult acne is Obagi

Hey You should try the PMD it should work better. Btw PMD= Personal Microdermabration make sure to watch a how to video on the site and check out some beauty gurus on youtube and their reveiws.

Exfoiliating brush most effective for Adult Acne

Hi, I have tried 3 of the clairsonic brushes and the cleansing lotion for adult acne. For me, the acne brush was not effective, the sensitive skin brush was more effective, but the exfoilating brush was very effective. I use a makeup remover for the makeup and an acne wash for the acne, therefore I am washing twice each session (not necessarily clarisonic lotion is used). I am re-ordering the exfoiliating brush that was used in the studies because I have pores that are blocked and seem to need deeper cleansing no matter what routine is used. I wash the brushes in antimicrobial soap because if I don't, my acne seems to get worse. My scarring is becoming less noticeable (the pitting seems less noticeable and the raised scarring seems to be disappearing). If I do not use the clarisonic for a period of some days my acne reappears. Also, my brushes seem to need replacing after a much shorter period if i wash with the brush long enough to be effective for the acne to calm down. Best of luck.

I think I've only used this for 3 weeks top, too soon to see any real changes made, but the one thing I've notice is how freaking smooth my face is! Sure my face is still fills with scars, but there are noticeably less blemishes. Now I don't know if that's from the product or the tretinoin cream my dermatologist gave me. But if you want to know how smooth the smoothness I'm talking about, imagine baby soft. Honestly, I can't stop touching my face (with the back of my hand). Beware the purge in the beginning though, I got a few "small" ones and one the size of my index fingernail!

I purchased the Acne Skin Care System Kit as a last resort for clearing up my skin. I had tried numerous department store brands and prescription products only to have more irritated skin time after time. After the first wash with my Mia2 and the clarifying wash, I could tell a difference in the way my skin looked and felt. It truly was amazing because I was so skeptical after having used so many products that promised results! Within two weeks, my skin was blemish-free and my pores were noticeably smaller. I have been using the kit for three months now and I will never use anything else again! Thank you, Clarisonic!

I've had my Clairsonic for five months now. I'm really happy with it & can feel the difference after I use it. I use it religiously in the morning and at night. My only issue is that it doesn't do a good job at removing makeup .

I have had my C-Acne System for less than a month however, I am pleased with the already improvement I see with my skin. The size is great for travel. My only issue is not having a stand during home use. Clarisonic team please create a stand for the Mia 2. Similiar to the new Aria.

I was very excited to buy the Clarisonic acne brush system... I have "ok" skin with mild acne, I knew and understood that there would be a purging of the skin process. After 1 month of no improvement and awful skin , I called clairsonic. I was told to wash brush after every use (like I had been doing), use paper towel to dry and give it another month. So I did, no improvement for my skin or acne. After 3 months of use, I gave up. I regret spending $ 149+ tax. It's been 6 months and my skin is turning back to normal... I did more damage to my skin using the clairsonic. Please be careful, if your part of the 15% of people that have worsening skin because of clairsonic. I honestly wished it would have worked. I didn't expect a miracle or perfect skin. I just assumed it would help with Mild acne. I wished it worked the idea is great ...

I have experienced a softness in feel of skin, it is still breaking out. So I started using it twice a day. Now I have dry skin spots around my chin that are itchey and red. It is not worth $200 near cost.

I am a 44 yr. old woman, with a lifetime history of cystic & cyclical Acne & going on over two-year user of Clarisonic Plus & I just Had to chime in on this posting...Irrefutably, without a doubt, I say to ALL doubters-Hang in There & Give it & your skin the Time to respond...obviously I'm a die-hard believer--Now! But I too was once upon a time, a Facial doubting Thomas..and by now I've been around the block a few times & tried EVERYTHING that's EVER been out on the Market. I will also add what we now know better than ever, that in fact "U are what U eat". Proper Nutrition, Sleep, yes and even Exercise affects the largest organ of our bodies--Our Skin. I pray that this will give u some food for thought.
P.S.--oh by the way, am in my mid 40's & people r always in disbelief about my age, often exclaiming I look in my 20's-early 30's. :)

Hey I had to comment on this. I'm a esthetician and really no my stuff!! You might have to ease into it.. To much will dry your skin out, you will experience more breakouts as this system is bringing everything to the surface and dry skin can cause build up of skin cell and lead to more acne (find a good moisturizer for your skin type I recommend skin Ceuticals) it might take a month or two to see results from this system! Everything has to come out in order to recive cear heathy skin! I do recommend this to all my clients it just cleans better then your hands it's not a harsh tool, use lite pressure. It takes time to see results as with any skin care product/system.. I hope this helps!!

Your skin is going to get worse before getting better. I believe it's called a purging stage, it lasts for a few weeks to a month. But everyone's skin is different. Perhaps this is your problem.
